As usual extreme detail was paid to training with two exciting sessions of passing and 7 a-side football. New age groups this year with an U-11, U-12 and U-15 age groups.

U-15 Bethel lost 8-2
The team weren’t up to much and it showed as a great Bethel team came in and slaughtered the socks off us. Are team were younger as our players seemed to not be there we were ran off the park (or football pitch).

U-15 New Testament lost 5-3
I wasn’t present heard it was worse than the last game. Glad I wasn’t there!

The Coventers Cup 5 a-side tournament
The under 16 Emmanuel Team collected the honours for this trophy and also claimed the second place spot. A great performance from everyone apart from Ally who was unable to attend.

U-15 Bethel won 5-2
Hallelujah we actually won a game against a decent team! Guilder must have been the hero playing an awesome game to keep Emmanuel in the run of things. Good goals and great performances from everybody, especially the fans (what fans).

U-15 Bethel lost 4-3
Heartbreak trauma and they had a brand new squad! After defeat to us last time they decided to recruit many new players. Apart from the A-Level passes they were all about the right age. Guilder had a first half disaster bodging up a goal kick, which they scored off. 3-0 down at half time, the team had a revival, with Guilder making 3 fab saves you can ask Ally! The score was three all with one minute left whem Adi scored a superb goal in a near empty box with the goalie reaching for the top hand corner. I wont mention the fact that there was only Ally in the box again.

U-15 N.T.C.O.G. lost 6-3
I can’t belive Ally was the only person in the box! The game well there’s only one word that will describe it MUDDY! Guilder won the muddiest person alive competion but drew close with Adam after he’d been dunked at the end for being the cleanest (why not Ted I’ll never know!). The match was O.K but mud everywhere made movement slow. Especially Guilder who had to be dug out at the end!

U-15 Bethel won 8-5
Well done to the whole team a great performance nothing else to say really! Apart from Ally was the only person in the box!

U-14 Oadby won 5-2
Senond half clean sheet from Guilder after Darrell let in two in the first half. Guilder suffered five retakes of the same penelty and played really well through out his half on the pitch. A lot of unnesecerry violence which shouldn’t be present in church matches. They deserved to win from our un-sportsman like attitude in the game. Dissapointing.
