August 2005 - Website revamp
I've recoded the site to a "better" standard (mostly by using divs instead of tables for layout if you really want to know!). This has included making the pages a fixed width, and making sure they will all print correctly. Most pages fit an 800*600 resolution and print normally; the fixtures pages need 1024*768 to see in full, however the table by itself will fit on an 800*600 screen. Fixtures pages are designed to fit on landscape paper - you should find an option in your browser and/or printer's properties to allow you to do this.
May 2004 - Congratulations to the U-13's

Looking into the past, John has unearthed some information on LEFC at the turn of the last century by local historian David Kirkby.
17/6/03 - New location, new webmaster
As Ally heads for uni, LEFC gains a new site, and worryingly?, a new webmaster! I'm a football-manager's wife and a football-player's mother, but a football website is as near the real thing as I plan to get (unless it's for photo taking). ...
30/12/02 - Another term starts ...
Hello, and welcome to the LEFC youth site site for season 2002/3. In the autumn term LEFC (or EYFC as they were formally known, hence all the logos etc) played a record 49 games, and with loads more to come it promises to be a very exciting term. Less than a year ago, LEFC passed 100 games... spread over 4 and a half seasons. By the end of this season will have nearly notched 100 games... in just one season! A fantastic achievment, and thanks and credit go to John Schad and everyone else involved. Enjoy the site and don't forget to check back regularly for fixtures and results update.
11/12/02 - Another term ends...
... and what a term it's been. A record breaking 49 matches (I actually make it 48 but who am I to argue with the fountain of all wisdom that is Mr John Schad?) ranging from Under-7 to Under-17 against all sorts of opponents. The overall record was Won 19, Drawn 4, Lost 25. ...
Also, as always, many thanks to all the people who helped out this term whether it be getting abuse coaching, getting abuse refereeing, getting abuse linesmaning or giving out abuse at how dirty people got your car! Thank you all. And congratulations to S. Gibb, who has been selected in the Leicestershire Schools Under-14 team. Well done!
30/09/02 - A winning weekend!
A good weekend for LEFC, with two wins bagged. The Under 10's beat Kings Youth 7-6 in a really close game, with O'Mahoney getting 5 goals (that's 8 in the last 2 games!) and Pu 2. And although the Under 14's went down 1-5, the Under 16's grabbed their first win of the year, 5-4 over Whetstone, thanks to 4 goals from Phil Lowe and some great goalkeeping from Sim Walker. Read a full report on that game here.
27/09/02 - Broken arm
Sad news reached us at LEFC Towers (ok, ok so there's no such place, but it sounds cool!) ...
23/09/02 - Mixed Weekend.
It was a mixed weekend for the teams. It started well on Friday night with a win and a draw against Newcroft School, and then on Saturday the Under-12's secured an excellent 6-2 victory away to Quorn Juniors, with last season's top scorer D. Waldron bagging a brace. However, disappointment for the Under 16's who went down 1-6 to Loughborough Bengali; T. Wright getting the goal. ...
20/09/02 - Official Name.
For your information EYFC will now be officially known as LEFC (Loughborough Emmanuel Football Club), the same as the men's team. This site will try to catch up in terms of logos and stuff asap but if you hear LEFC referred to in reports etc then it means us!
16/09/02 - So near and yet so far.
In a style resembling a British train the final results from last season have finally been put together - a mere 3 months late. Coming in to the final 2 games on June 25th the team had won 21, drawn 11 and lost 22 - so two victories would end the season with more wins than defeats for the first time. The Under-11's cruised to a 4-0 victory but the Under-9's couldn't get past a stubborn Outwoods Edge defence and went down narrowly 2-0 to give a final record of...
- Played 56
- Won 22
- Drawn 11
- Lost 23
- For 162
- Against 167
That brings the overall Emmanuel record (up to the end of
last season) to W45,D13, L53, F345, A379
Better luck this year guys...
16/09/02 - Oops!
Emmanuel U-18's (ish) 0-15 defeat to Quorn isn't actually quite as embarrassing as it seems on paper. There was a bit of an - erm - mix-up and to cut a long story short Quorn thought that we were sending our men's 1st team whilst we were expecting a team of a mixture of 14-18's! Consequently the two teams were imbalanced and Quorn steam rollered to an easy (and surely for them quite boring) victory. A. Hulse almost got one back for Emmanuel at 0-13 but the linesman said it didn't cross the line. Not that it really mattered in the great way of things! The other games went better, but not that much better, with the overall record being 1 draw and 4 defeats. ...
12/09/02 - Packed weekend ahead!
Emmanuel face a club record 5 matches this Saturday, from ages ranging from Under-8 to Under-18. The previous record was 4 matches in one day (excluding tournaments) which was achieved twice last year, but never before have 5 matches taken place on the same day. The Under-18's and Under-14's kick it off in the morning against Quorn and New Trinity respectively, then it's the younger ones turn as the U-8's, U-10's and U-11's face up to Sacred Heart School.
09/09/02 - EYFC put up a brave fight
A combined team of some of the older players held their own pretty well on Saturday as they only went down 0-7 to the men's side. Whilst that may seem like a joke scoreline, it's worth remembering the men were county champions last year and obviously had a physical edge. The first half was particularly impressive, with it taking 25 minutes for the men to break the deadlock and only going in 2-0 up at half-time.
