Loughborough Emmanuel FC is an FA-affiliated Christian football club that is part of Emmanuel Church's youth work but open to players from any church or none and any faith or none.
We run teams from u-7s to u-16s. Some of our teams play friendly matches, some compete in the Derby City League, and some compete in the Nottingham Youth League. We seek to provide Saturday football in a county where there is no organized Saturday football for anyone under 18 (all club youth football in Leicestershire takes place on Sundays) and to stress that good football is about enjoyment and sportsmanship.

They would be amused, excited and proud if their Victorian
forefathers could see the spirit of the present day Loughborough Emmanuel
youngsters.
Pioneers of the fledgling game of association football back in the late 19th
Century, in fact the orginal Emmanuel Club were the first winners of the
Loughborough Charity Cup, founder members of the Loughborough Football League
and one of the early members of the Leicestershire Football Association, those
Victorian gentlemen would be proud of the rekindled pioneering spirit shown by
the youngsters of the modern day club. Being reformed several years ago to give
the youngsters of the town who attended church on a Sunday the opportunity to
play Saturday football the Club has grown into an organisation consisting of
teams from Under 9's to Under 15's, and one that has sought competitive football
away from Leicestershires traditional Sunday fare. Three years ago the club
expanded their recriutment with the then Under 13's leading the way and brought
Saturday youth football to Loughborough with entry into the Derby City Football
League, today three sides play league football, both the Under 13's and 14's remain
in the Derby City League with the Under 15's in the Nottingham Youth League. The
quality of the competition is high, having just two divisions in the Derby League,
unlike three or four in Leicestershire, with the Emmanuel boys competing in the
same leagues as youth sides of local, and not so local non-league clubs such as
Belper Town, Hucknall Town and Mickleover Sports.

Exciting times are ahead for the Loughborough Emmanuel Football Club and just as a
hundred or so years ago the Club is leading the way with that same Victorian
pioneering spirit.
